Full Description

A walkover survey was conducted by Wordsworth Archaeological Services in 1996 for a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme application.

Site No: 37b
Site name: Glenuig
Description: The remains of a drystone structure 4m by 2m with walls lm high by 0.5m wide. There is an enclosure on the E and S sides set back 1.5m from the main structure. It is not clear what this was formerly used for. It was subsequently used as a rubbish dump. The other buildings shown in this area on the earlier OS maps could not be identified. <1>
