Full Description
A walkover survey was conducted by Wordsworth Archaeological Services in 1996 for a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme application.
Site No: 33.
Site name: Monadh Gleann Uige
Description: A small drystone structure has been built against a boulder at the NW corner of field system 14. It is not clear if this is a small bothy for tools and shelter when this field was being worked or the remains of another still site.
Recommendation: This structure is relatively stable but will need occasion weeding to prevent damage from falling trees. <1>
NGR adjusted based on 1999-2001 vertical aerial photographs. <2>
