Site No: 6
Site name: The Shelter Stone
Description: This massive boulder is a natural feature, probably eroded from the cliffs of Cruach na Bairness in the geological past, though it may possibly be a glacial erratic. Only limited shelter is offered by this stone.
Recommendation: Because of its historical associations and location adjacent to the footpath to Loch na Bairness, this could be included as part of aarchaeological/historical trail. It should not require any protection. <2>

NGR adjusted based on 1999-2001 vertical aerial photographs. <3>
