A township comprising two unroofed, twenty-eight roofed buildings, one of whcih is a long building, three enclosures, a head-dyke and some field walls is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire 1875-7, sheet cxlvii). Sixteen unroofed, six roofed buildings, three enclosures and some field walls are shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1973).

This township was photographed by S Salem during a casual site visit. A well and a corn drying kiln were located, along with several ruined buildings and several extant funtioning holiday homes. <1>
