Date

Description

A rapid walk-over archaeological survey was undertaken in 1997 of a proposed WGS area at Allt Saigh on the Balmacaan Estate. The purpose of the survey was to identify areas of archaeological interest and to suggest appropriate measures to protect the identified remains. An initial deskbound survey was followed by a site visit carried out on the 26th November 1997. It was carried out in dry relatively mild conditions allowing the majority of the area to be examined. A number of sites were recorded and recommendations were made to avoid them. <1>
