A hut circle near the Gable Burn. Originally recorded by the OS as hut circle 'A'. See MHG for hut circle 'B'.

An enclosure (A) was located during field investigation.
Visited by OS (E G C) 4 June 1961.

Situated at the foot of a W-facing hill slope are two hut circles ('A' and 'B').
'A', positioned at NC 9457 1532, measures 11.5m SSE-NNW by 9.5m within a peat-covered wall spread to approximately 2.5m. Several inner and outer facing stones are visible in the E arc. Th entrance gap is in the SSE.
'B' positioned at NC 9462 1540 has a considerable silt overlay, with the centre in a marshy condition. It measures, internally NNW-SSE,12.0m by 11.0m. The entrance in the SSE is flanked on its W side by a possible portal stone.
A few clearance heaps are scattered to the S and W of the huts, but no plots are discernible.
