At NC 94482037, on the S bank, and in the bend, of a stream, is a burnt mound roughly 11.0m diameter by 1.3m high. The top half is cleaved by a wedge-like depression opening out on the stream at the E end; animal scrapes and erosion expose a content of blackened earth, heat-stained stone fragments and splinters of charcoal. Just 20.0m S of the mound is a hut circle (NC 92 SW 31)
Surveyed at 1:10 560. Visited by OS (J M) 16 December 1976
