Two hut circles (A and B) found during field investigation.
Visited by OS (W D J) 30 April 1960.

These two hut circles plus a third (C) are all set into the slope among undulating ground on the east side of Strath Halladale.
'A' is 7.5m in diameter within a stone wall up to 0.7m high, generally spread to 2m but widening to 3m at entrance in ESE which appears to be clubbed. SW segment of the hut appears to have been excavated and backfilled the stones from this excavation having been crudely set upon the wall. A rectangular footing 6.5m by 2.5m abuts the inside of N wall, with another 4m by 3m abutting exterior of hut in NE. About 30m to NE is a rectangular footing of large stones 2.5m by 1.5m, possibly a shieling.
'B' is 8.5m in diameter within a partially peat and heather covered stone wall 0.6m average height. The wall is generally 2.2m thick but widens to approximately 3.3m at clubbed entrance in S. A stretch of crude dry stone masonry 1m long to E of entrance indicates more recent use.
The lack of bulk and stone in the wall of 'C' contrasts sharply with the other two huts. It is 10m diameter within a low heather covered wall spread to 2m. The obscure entrance is in S.
The only evidence of associated cultivation is about half a dozen clearance heaps, together with patches of dry, stone free ground. Surveyed at 1:10000. Visited by OS (J B) 2 June 1977.
