Full Description
NC94NW 4 9282 4826.
Situated adjacent to a burn and close to a settlement of hut circles (NC94NW 3) is a burnt mound. It has a thick peat and heather covering, and measures 9.5m NE-SW by 8.5m. A gap in NE side of the mound, which faces the burn, leads into a central, depressed area about 3m across. The maximum height of the mound is approximately 0.8m in SE.
Surveyed at 1:10000. Visited by OS (J B) 1 June 1977.
