Full Description
NC85SE 9 8910 5195.
At NC 8910 5195 is a heather-covered burnt mound. It is situated at the confluence of two valleys and lies beside a burn. A settlement of hut circles lies close by to the NW (NC85SE 13). The mound is 'U' shaped measuring 13.0m E-W by 9.5m with the open end to the east. It has a maximum external height of 1.6m on the north side reducing towards the east. Erosion reveals a content of burnt stone, earth and some charcoal. Surveyed at 1/10,000.
