Full Description

NC74SW 7 7229 5337.

(NC 7229 5337) A hut-circle or enclosure was discovered during field investigation on the gentle east-facing slope above the River Naver. It consists of an earth and stone bank, 13m in diameter, 2.5m broad and 0.5m high with an entrance in the SE.
Visited by OS (J L D) 6 May 1960.

This is a hut circle, levelled back into a slight slope and measuring internally 11.5 by 10.5m; an entrance is in the south-east on the line of the long axis. The wall, up to 0.5m high, is ragged and turf-covered with outer facing stones visible in the entrance arc where an actual width of 1.5m is estimated. There are no indications of contemporary land-use.
