Full Description
NC75NW 44 7395 5777.
At NC 7395 5777, beside the Clachan Burn, is an ill-defined peat and heather covered burnt mound. It measures about 8.0m acrosss in both directions, and stands to 0.7m high. The centre is depressed, with the south west side truncated by the township wall of Achamore. A trial dig in the mound revealed contents of friable stones and charcoal.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J B) 16 September 1977.
