Full Description
NC84NE 10 8988 4905.
At NC 8988 4905, in the bend of a stream, is a burnt mound. It is crescentic in shape and measures 9.0m across the open end, by 6.5m and is up to 1.1m high. Erosion of the heather cover reveals fragments of friable heat-stained stone.
Surveyed at 1:10,000. Visited by OS (J M) 12 November 1980.
