Full Description

Dug into the bank just above the high water mark on the N shore of Loch Morie, there are two U-shaped cuts about 1.5m deep with upcast banks around their edges. The easterly of the two measures 5.5m from NW-SE by 6.2m internally. The westerly measures 4.3m NW-SE by 3.5m internally and has an entrance 1.3m wide. The 1st ed. OS 6"map (Ross-shire {1880}, 52) indicates a boathouse in this location.
Some 20m to the W, there are the remains of a small rectangular building. Its E end has been destroyed, but the building measures at least 3.6m in length from ESE-WNW over grass-covered stone footings 0.6m in thickness and 0.3m in height.
