This farmstead comprises two buildings, a kiln-barn and a small enclosure and is situated in undulating glacial meltwater terraine about 100m N of River Averon. The largest building has drystone walls up to 1m high; midway along its S side there is a bedneuk measuring 3.5m in external length by 2m transversely and there is a doorway 4m W of bedneuk.
There is also a well-preserved kiln-barn with some of its flue lintels still in place 7m to SW. The kiln-bowl is about 4m in diameter. A second rectangular building stands at right angles to first, 20m to S and has two unequal compartments. This building is more overgrown but it may have had opposed doorways midway along larger S compartment. Its N end is terraced into slope. An outshot, open to E, is attached to S end, in front of which is a possibly artificial platform or stance. On W of the building, between it and a bog, there is a terraced pathway which runs around N side of bog on S side of a natural ridge, but stops short of a cutting in ridge. A small enclosure is terraced into slope immediately NE of two compartment building. Fragments of a possible field-system are visible in the vicinity.
