U-shaped burnt mound. It measures 9m x 10m across by 0.9 m high and the open end faces into a natural drainage gully; erosion of turf cover reveals an admixture of black earth and heat-stained fragmented stone. Some hundred and ten metres up the steepish hill slope directly to NNW is a hut circle (NH 46 SE 1).
Surveyed at 1:2500. Visited by OS (J M) 22 January 1980
