Full Description
Immediately to the W of the path depicted on the OS 1:10,560 map (1970) and to the W of the Abhainn Toll a'Choin there are the footings of two rectangular buildings. The more northerly measures 9.8m from N-S by 4.5m transversely over rubble stone footings about 1m in thickness and 0.15m in height. There may be a partition about half way along its length but the building has been extensively disturbed and it is not clearly defined.
The poorly-defined remains of the second building are situated 23m to the S. It measures 22.8m from N-S by 6m transversely over grass-covered stone footings about 1m in thickness and 0.2m in height. There is a partition 12m from the S end. About 1m from the SW angle of the building there are stone wall footings 0.75m thick and 0.3m high. Further to the S, to the W of the path (NH 5190 7743), there is a short sinuous length of bank about 1m thick and 0.2m high, in the vicinity of which quarrying is evident.
