Full Description
A rapid coastal zone assessment survey was conducted by GUARD in the Autumn of 1997 commissioned by Historic Scotland from the Viking and Early Settlement Archaeological Research Project based at the University of Glasgow.
At the south of the improved fields of Skullomie is an area of probable lazy-beds' which run E-W down the slope to the cliff-edge. These cultivation remains are up to 5 m wide and 20 m long. This may be an element of the agricultural landscape that pre-dates that described in no 5 below <1>
