Full Description
A rapid coastal zone assessment survey was conducted by GUARD in the Autumn of 1997 commissioned by Historic Scotland from the Viking and Early Settlement Archaeological Research Project based at the University of Glasgow.
On a very steep slope , between the base of vertical cliffs and the edge of a boulder-beach, is a very ruinous dyke which stands to 0.4 m high. This is in an area of dense scrub-and-woodland and is somewhat enigmatic, given the gradient it occupies. <1>
