Full Description
A rapid coastal zone assessment survey was conducted by GUARD in the Autumn of 1997 commissioned by Historic Scotland from the Viking and Early Settlement Archaeological Research Project based at the University of Glasgow.
Running from a shingle-beach back inland up a steep, wooded slope is a 40 m length of dry-stone dyke which stands up to 1.1 m high. This dyke has tumbled in several areas within the wooded hinterland and has been reduced to one course at the coast-edge. <1>
