Full Description
Site of a mill belonging to the farmstead of Murza, Caithness. The site is shown on the OS 1st Edition 6 inch map as a single building oriented southwest-northeast with a small enclosure to its immediate south and what is presumed to be its lade arcing around it to the west and to the south and labelled 'Mill of Murza'. On the OS 2nd Edition 25 inch map the building's orientation had changed to southeast-northwest. The latter building is still roofed but is labelled 'Disused' on current OS mapping and the lade apparently filled in and rerouted to form a drain. The farmstead of Murza lies c.540m to the the south (see MHG37479). <1> <2> <3>
