Full Description
A desk-based assessment and walk-over survey of the route of the proposed pipeline was conducted by C. Dagg in 2000.
Cul an Scardain. Dixon's 'Gairloch' records that "there were formerly houses here". There are no visible signs of footings of old buildings, and it is possible that these houses were further down towards the shore. There are however arrangements of stones between the corner of the fence and the road, and a short row of stone footings just east of the old drystone dyke above the road. Neither of these features can be clearly identified.<1>
Note: Site not visible on aerial photographs so location based on grid coordinates. (TB 18/3/26)
