Full Description
An archaeological assessment of the proposed route of the pipelines between Letterfearn and Ratagan, Ratagan and Ault a' Chruinn, and Ardelve and Sallachy was undertaken by C Dagg in 2000.
Water management feature: An open water channel consisting of a ditch and substantial rubble bank has been carefully constructed running round the base of a rocky knoll. Its continuation uphill has been destroyed by modern road construction, and downhill it appears to end before crossing the old road. Not marked on the 1' edition Ordnance Survey map and not visible on the aerial photograph due to the shadow cast by the knoll.<1>
