Full Description

A probable head dyke around farmsteads at Carn Nan Clach Garbha. The dyke can be seen on vertical aerial photography at least partially enclosing an area associated with two ruined farmsteads (see MHG7177 and MHG62247). Vegetation and/or possibly later agricultural practice is either masking or has possibly removed additional dykes and enclosures as an area of rig and/or lazy beds appears to run north-south in the area where both the eastern and western current terminals of the dyke would possiby originally have joined. <1> <2>
