Full Description
A possible henge or saucer barrow in Strath Mulzie, to the west of the Corriemulzie River. The feature is visible in vertical aerial photography as a large circular earthwork c.27m in diameter. There is a suggestion of an entrance in its southern arc but its southeast quadrant appears toi have been flattened. It may be a more recent feature but it certainly seems to pre-date a drainage date that cuts through it from the northeast. <1> <2>
NOTE: This is a very remote location for a henge or saucer barrow but there is a similar albeit smaller feature c.2km to the northeast (see MHG7428) [IS-L 28/10/2025].
