Full Description

A walkover survey and desk-based assessment for the National Trust estate at Torridon was carried out by J Wordsworth and J Harden.

c15m east of the drain recorded on the current OS map are the remains of a turf & stone dyke, which curves NE from the Alligin Gorge. It originally extended nprth across the line of the road to continue on a more northerly alignment until disappearing before reaching the track to Braebeg Croft. There are signs of turf cutting on either side of this bank especially S of the road. <1>
