Full Description

A walkover survey and desk-based assessment for the National Trust estate at Torridon was carried out by J Wordsworth and J Harden.

The remains of an area of former cultivation are marked by turf & stone dykes to form an enclosure c200m by c150m. The wall to the NE is marked on the current OS map and is the best preserved surviving up to c0.5m high and spread to c1m wide with large boulders at the base. The walls elsewhere are just low mounds. The areas of cultivation are defined by rickles of stone forming linear plots c5m wide. <1>
