(NG 481 398) Peinnmhor: shown as township in 1824. (W Johnson's Map of Skye, 1824) (Modern house Peinmore at NG 480 408).

The depopulated township of Peinnmhor, situated on the E side of the Varragill Valley, comprises a main group of 5 ruined houses with two enclosures, one rebuilt as a sheepfold, and about 8 outlying ruined houses. (Visible on RAF APs CPE/Scot/UK/175: 1088-9)
All are contained within a strong stone enclosure wall (now turf-covered) which runs from N to S along the eastern perimeter of the township. Condition fair.
