Full Description
A walkover survey and desk-based assessment for the National Trust estate at Torridon was carried out by J Wordsworth and J Harden between 1996 and 2002.
Towards the far side of the first plateau above the Abhainn Alligin is a cleverly concealed possible still site. The structure is sited over a wee burn as it crosses an outcrop of rock, so that the drystone walling which forms the structure is extremely well camouflaged. The trapezoidal structure is c3.5m by c1m - c2m over walls which are a single boulder in width and max c0.5m high. <1>
Note: Site not visible on aerial photographs so location based on grid coordinates. (TB 20/10/25)
