Full Description

A walkover survey and desk-based assessment for the National Trust estate at Torridon was carried out by J Wordsworth and J Harden between 1996 and 2002.

On the south side of the Abhainn Coire Mhic Nobuil just to the west of the junction with the AlIt a'Bhealaich is a dyke/possible enclosure, defined by a turf-capped drystone wall. This enclosure is clearly defined on its NW side where it is c80m long and c 0.4m high and c0.5m wide. There are two short stubs of walling extend from the NE & SW ends. No walling is evident on the SE and it is difficult to see how or why this functioned. Area defined by wall is a boggy hollow. <1>

NGR adjusted based on 2009 vertical aerial photographs. <2>
