Full Description

A walkover survey and desk-based assessment for the National Trust estate at Torridon was carried out by J Wordsworth and J Harden between 1996 and 2002.

The mouth of the burn that flows out of the loch has a small stone dam across it. A line of stones runs from the loch near the dam and down the W side of the burn. Initially it was thought that this was the remains of a dyke, but it is now thought to indicate the route of the cast iron water pipe. <1>
