Full Description
A small pen at Tòrr Mòr, Strath, Skye.
The sites were recorded by M Wildgoose in 1999 in advance of a proposed woodland creation scheme. Lying in the angle formed by the Allt na Peighinn and a small burn which flows in from the east, against the south side of a low outcrop, are the remains of a small stone pen. The pen measures 3m by 1.5m over tumbled walls 1.2m wide. <1>
This feature is not visible at the given grid reference on vertical aerial photography, as it would lie c.50m too far to the west of the position given in the description. It is not clear if the feature lies on the south or north side of the burn flowing from the east, but it is presumed to lie to its south as with the given grid reference [IS-L 13/10/205].
