Full Description
Located at the foot of a SW-facing slope in pasture land is a stone-built spring fed well, enclosed on three sides. It measures 2 x 2m and has a 0.7m wide and 0.3m deep trough. The trough currently infilled, but evidently still has water running beneath. The same spring is visible at ground level a few metres to the south and flows into a culvert by the A831 30m to the SW. A local person confirmed it as Curadan’s (Boniface’s) well or Tobar Churadain. It is mentioned in ‘Glen Urquhart and Glenmoriston’ (1893). St Curadan’s Chapel is at nearby Corrimony. <1>
