The probable township of Dalamein. <1>
A walkover survey and desk-based assessment was undertaken by A Coombs at Dalnamein for the Sutherland Longhouse Project, a community engagement project hosted by Historylinks Museum, Dornoch in 2000.
Site 23: The house is a typical longhouse with 2 outshots. The north outshot is 10m east of the west gable and is 2.5m E-W by 2.5m N-S. The south outshot is 8m east of the west gable and is 4m E-W and 5m N-S. There appears to be an internal dividing wall and possibly a byre drain at the E end. The walls are up to 0.3m.
