Full Description
Remains of a farmstead called Darvorgil on the north side of Loch Poulary. It is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map as two buildings, two enclosures and a sheepfold. Ony the remains of the northern building, the larger of the two, and its abutting enclosure are immediately visible on vertical aerial photography. <1> <2>
The site was noted and visited during a walkover survey by Scotia Archaeology in 2013 in advance of the proposed rebuild of the route of an overhead power line between Fort Augustus and the east end of Glen Quoich. Only the ruins of the northern building were encountered. <3>
