Full Description

A rapid walk-over archaeological survey was carried out in 1999 by J. Wordsworth as part of the preparation for a planned Community Woodland in Knoydart. <1>

Site 1: On a natural mound between 2 burns and possibly defined by a slight turf enclosure wall are the remains of a series of cultivation rigs c2m wide. The majority of this area of cultivation lies within the proposed plantation. No rigs are visible on the surface of the mound because of extensive peat cutting. <1>
