Full Description

A rapid walk-over archaeological survey was carried out in 1999 by J. Wordsworth as part of the preparation for a planned Community Woodland in Knoydart.

Site 18: Just to the east of the NE/SW boundary dyke that connects to site 16, are the remains of a rectangular structure 10m by 4m aligned roughly E/W. It lies 35m south of the modern powerline. It is covered by long heather and moss but no bracken. This may have been a cottar’s house. <1>
