Full Description
A rapid walk-over archaeological survey was carried out in 1999 by J. Wordsworth as part of the preparation for a planned Community Woodland in Knoydart.
Site 15e: The structure and dykes at Torr an Tighe are as shown on the current OS map.
Site 17: Substantial turf dykes up to 1m high on average on a base 1.5-2m wide and c0.75m wide on top define a substantial enclosure lying mostly within the modern plantation. There is no clear evidence of rig cultivation within the surviving fragment, suggesting this was a stock enclosure. <1>
