Full Description
A rapid walk-over archaeological survey was carried out in 1999 by J. Wordsworth as part of the preparation for a planned Community Woodland in Knoydart. <1>
Site 6: 8m southwest of the north corner of the enclosure site 5 are the remains of a round ended building 8m by 3m with an entrance on the southeast side. It has drystone walls up to 0.75m high and is obscured by bracken and rush. A wall running from the boundary dyke to the burn to the southeast defines a small enclosure 28m long. There is an entrance through the boundary dyke immediately to the south of this point. This building was not recorded on the earlier OS surveys. <1>
