Full Description

A rapid walk-over archaeological survey was carried out in 1999 by J. Wordsworth as part of the preparation for a planned Community Woodland in Knoydart. <1>

Site 2: 13m NE of the junction of two burns are the footings of a N/S building measuring 6m by 3m. 15m to the SE are the footings of either a building on the same alignment 3m wide or a circular structure 3m diameter. 32m to the ENE is a mossy/ loose rushy patch aligned ENE/WSW measuring 5m by 3m. This may be a natural hollow but could be the remains of a turf walled building. <1>
