- None recorded
Full Description
A field evaluation walk-over of an area affected by the proposed Woodland Grant Scheme was conducted at Balchladich, Assynt by C. Dagg in 1999.
Site 3: Dam and terminal of dykes. Where the burn flows out of Loch nan Lub, a rubble dam still functioning in raising the water level of the lochan. On the north shore, the turf dyke from Loch an Easain terminates just east of this dam with a section of drystone walling extending into the water. A similar pile of rubble in the water east of this suggests a previous dyke line. <1>
