Full Description

The former walled garden of Old Allangrange House. It is shown on the OS 1st edition map c.125m to the northeast of the house divided into horicultural beds and areas of presumably fruit trees and labelled 'Nursery'. Kennels are shown and labelled just off its northern corner and a long building, possibly a gardener's bothy or potting shed is shown to the southwest of the kennels. <1>

Although much of the surrounding wall still stands, especially to the east and southwest, the interior has been subdivided and two houses have been erected. The possible potting shed or gardener's bothy still stands and is roofed, probably in domestic use [IS-L 16/07/2025].
