Full Description
A rapid walk-over survey of a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme application at North Applecross, Wester Ross, was undertaken by C. Dagg.
Site no. F12: Turf dyke. A good stretch of turf and stone dyke runs down to Loch na Caorach at its furthest NW point, and extends as a retaining wall along the south shore of the loch for a further 6m. The dyke runs NW from the loch but soon curves northwards to climb round the shoulder of the Meall na Coille and cannot be traced further. Presumably it connects with Site F11. <1>
