Full Description
A rapid walk-over survey of a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme application at North Applecross, Wester Ross, was undertaken by C. Dagg.
Site no. C4: Field Clearance Cairn. Above where the ground has been dug away to form a parking or turning space for the adjacent quarry, is an area of grass and bracken indicating a possible area of cultivation. There is one field clearance cairn immediately above the bank at the furthest NW corner: a low oval pile of stones measuring lm by 1.9m.<1>
