Full Description

A rapid walk-over survey of a proposed Woodland Grant Scheme application at North Applecross, Wester Ross, was undertaken by C. Dagg.

Site no. L3: Cairn. A low cairn on bare rock on the top of a small ridge. This cairn has a clear view of the second cairn (site no. L4). If constructed with a function, these cairns are possibly way-markers or boundary-markers. They are noticably not visible from every direction. <1>

Note: Site not visible on aerial photographs so location based on grid coordinates. A track for a recent development has been created and may have destroyed the cairn. (TB 16/6/25)
