Full Description

A desk based assessment and rapid walk-over archaeological survey was carried out at Torroble, Lairg by Wordsworth Archaeological Services in 1999.

Site No.1 3: A small group of clearance cairns lie c 100m S of the plantation boundary and 80m W of the existing fence on a N-facing terrace. The cairns are up to 3m in diameter and up to 0.3m high, covering an area c30m E/W by c40m N/S. They are not affected by the current proposals and are merely listed here for future reference. Recommendation: No action required<1>
