Full Description

An archaeological survey was undertaken by Headland Archaeology in 1999 for the WGS proposal at Bunloit Hill, Drumnadrochit.

Site No. 6
Location: Inchtelloch
Class: Sheepfold
Land use: Rough grazing
Description: An oval sheepfold is located on the south-east facing hillside, 300 m to the north of the Inchtelloch steading. It has mortared stone walls 0.4 m wide and 1 m high and measures 4 m by 2 m internally. The sheepfold is open at either end, and has a later dipping pen added to the downslope end, built from shuttered concrete. The dipping pen is 0.7 m wide and 2.5 m long.
Condition: The sheepfold looks complete with no signs of decay.
