Full Description
A probable shieling hut at Allt Caol (Erchless Burn, Strath Glass). The site is visible on vertical aerial photography as a small rectangular feature measuring c.5m x 3m with a small enclosure, probably a pen, measuring 5m x 5m on its northwest side. It is c.10m to the northwest of a second, similar feature (see MHG64302). Both of these lie on the northeast side of a small area of rig cultivation (see MHG64303), presumbaly associated with the possible clearance cairn at its southern end (see MHG62825). <1>
