Full Description

A rapid walk-over survey was conducted over an area affected by the proposed Woodland Grant Scheme at Little Assynt by C. Dagg in 1999.

Site no. 30. Enclosed Knoll. The small rocky knoll of Torran Beaga has been enclosed by a turf and stone dyke. Within this enclosure are grassy areas with at least two storage structures and one clearance cairn, and one larger building measuring 3.6m by 2.9m, which appears to be a rebuild of a slightly larger structure. It is aligned NE-SW.<1>

NGR adjusted based on 1999-2001 vertical aerial photographs. <2>
