Full Description
A rapid walk-over survey was conducted over an area affected by the proposed Woodland Grant Scheme at Little Assynt by C. Dagg in 1999.
Site no. 17: Enclosing dyke. The enclosing dyke of the settlement (Site no. 24) takes in a large area of the ridge to the northwest although this high ground has not been obviously used for cultivation. It is not traceable along its entire length, a section dotted on the location map is not now visible. It is of more stone than turf and stays high on the slope above the boggy low ground.<1>
NGR adjusted based on 1999-2001 vertical aerial photographs. <2>
